L sit

Postby Joshtheboss » Fri Mar 29, 2013 4:54 pm

Guys, I'm having trouble with my l sit. I can hold it for 5+ secs on a bar but when it comes to the ground or rings or Even supporters I just fail. Are there any prerequisites for an l sit that I could use. I feel like I have the core strength to do an l sit but whenever it comes to moves where my arms are strength I give out. Any help whatsoever? Even from this spiderman guy I've been seeing lol

Haha, Spidey might have some tips, we will see.

The tuck hold is a prerequisite to the l-sit. Train holding a tuck. The l-sit is when your legs are at a 90 degree angle to your body. Progress from the tuck hold to an l-sit only with a larger angle like 120 degrees and gradually decrease the angle. Daily stretching will also make the l-sit a more comfortable exercise.

Thanks for the advice, Tyson. I recently have advanced slightly but it still isn't the best or where I want it to be. I'm working on it though and can hold a l sit for 5 secs but I still have trouble wih pointing the toes and not shrugging my shoulders. In time.
